Shayna Ginsburg, Psy.D. is recognized by PCIT International as a certified PCIT Therapist. Her theoretical orientation is integrative, with a focus on systems theory. Dr. Ginsburg earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, and her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Francisco, CA.
Dr. Ginsburg has worked in community mental health centers, residential treatment facilities, special day schools, and group homes where she provided individual, group, and family therapy as well as psychological testing to clients who vary in age, race, ethnicity, economic status, and pathology. She has served on management teams developing and maintaining policies and procedures as well as overseeing outpatient clinical services. Dr. Ginsburg has also served as Training Director for clinical field placements for doctoral trainees. She also provides education and training on various mental health topics to the community.
Dr. Ginsburg is the mother of a 9-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl, and PCIT is part of her parenting approach with her own children.
Laura Cruz, Ph.D. is recognized by PCIT International as a certified PCIT Therapist and Trainer. She has expertise in the areas of behavioral parent training, treatment of disruptive behaviors, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and best practices in assessment. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in psychology at the University of Florida and her Specialist of Education degree in school psychology at Florida International University.
After working as a school psychologist in various Florida counties, Dr. Cruz completed her doctorate with a specialization in child clinical psychology at Florida State University. She completed her doctoral internship at Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital, working with children and adolescents, and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Miami, Mailman Center for Child Development, specializing in PCIT.
Currently, Dr. Cruz works as a licensed psychologist and school psychologist providing education and training to staff/community, clinical supervision to trainees, and clinical services to youth and families in both English and Spanish. Dr. Cruz also serves as adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Cruz is the proud parent of a 3-year-old toddler and she utilizes her PCIT skills regularly both professionally and personally.
